Summer 2014 Portfolio Retreats
If you plan to teach at the university level, you will need a statement of teaching philosophy and a teaching portfolio. Join members of the CTE staff and fellow graduate students in a three day retreat in which you will write your statement of teaching philosophy and create your teaching portfolio. This is a unique opportunity for all graduate teaching students who anticipate entering the job market within the next two years.
Applications will be accepted until May 16, 2014 and require a $30.00 deposit. Checks should be made out to the Center for Teaching Excellence and brought or mailed to Cynthia Shaw at CTE, 2301 Marie Mount Hall by May 16. Please note that the participant limit is 14 per session and that applicants will be selected on the basis of timeliness, teaching experience, and strength of application.
We will notify you that we have received your application within one week. Please contact us if you have not received a notification by that time.
