Why do some students embrace challenging work and others do not? What can you do as an instructor to facilitate student memory and understanding? How can you encourage students to think reflectively about and monitor their understanding?
Understanding how students learn allows instructors to make these processes transparent for students and provides grounds for selecting and implementing pedagogical techniques that foster successful learning. This workshop will help you understand how students' beliefs and processes relate to learning while providing strategies for improving student outcomes.
